The documentary KEIN SÜSSER KUSS is a story of love and nostalgia, focusing on four protagonists living in Berlin: Three migrants from Thailand and a German married to a Thai woman.

Set against the background of the Thai culture of decency, in which the deepest core of the heart remains hidden, karaoke has a distinctive resonance in Thai society and especially with the Thai migrants. Karaoke is an entertaining medium that creates the opportunity to process and display emotions without losing face. Karaoke is leisure, business, therapy, art, culture and everyday life.

It is an mainly independently financed documentary.
The pre-production was supported by Maecenia Stiftung Frankfurt/Main and the post-production was supported by Filmbüro Franken.
